Our goal is to give you an interactive tour of our used inventory, as well as allow you to conveniently get a quote, schedule a service appointment, have your car cleaned or collision repaired, and learn about what makes us so different. The search for your automotive needs is filled with high expectations, but at Gateway, we think you should also have pretty high expectations for who you entrust with your automotive journey. We’re a family owned business and have a veteran team that is here to help with any part of the car shopping or vehicle ownership experience. You’ll notice that not only has some of our staff been with us for over 10 years, some of our customers have too. Where cars are people, and people are family. We’re active in the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce, have obtained Honor Roll status in the BBB, and have received a 1st Choice Repair Program award from EMC insurance companies. One day we walked outside to the back of our shop and a mother had brought her litter to the bed of our truck. The shelter could not take them, so we found homes for four and raised the other two, baby bottle and all! Carl and Barney live and stay at the shop.

After nearly two decades of business, we’ve learned a heck of a lot about the industry. This includes the most important rule of car sales: never forget about the people behind the wheel. We know that when you’re truly driven by people, your journey will always be remarkable.

We know the importance of our customers. It’s why “driven by people” is our slogan. We want to put the power back in your hands, because it’s drivers who have taken us this far, and it’s driver who will continue to help us grow in the future.

PASSION

Our story begins in the mid-‘90s, when Omaha native Ben Toscano started buying and selling cars as a hobby. For Ben, it was never about the money. He immediately fell in love with the industry that let him use his honesty and interpersonal skills. Soon, word spread about Ben’s side project, and his friends started asking for repairs. Ben’s wife, Sandy, saw potential in the business and committed her keen management skills to the budding business. In 2002, the Toscanos opened shop and Gateway Auto was born. The couple’s success in starting and continuing the successful business can be attributed to their passion – the first pillar of Gateway Auto.

EXPERIENCE

The two knew that in order to have a successful company, they needed a successful staff. So they brought in employees they could trust, close friends who were experts in the business. With these seasoned mechanics leading the shop, the fledgling business acted like a seasoned veteran in the industry. The caliber of their work naturally attracted other local talent, and the Gateway Auto family soon grew, adding more and more years of personal experience – the company’s second pillar.

QUALITY

Through quality ownership and quality employees comes quality work. Gateway’s third pillar shines through the work it’s able to provide customers. It took only 9 years after its grand opening before Gateway expanded and built a service shop to help its customers even further. Today, Gateway is always looking for ways to grow with purpose: a larger facility means we can provide more to the city and people we love.
